BYOD - Bring Your Own Device Sessions

In the past, MACE has partnered with Kansas school districts, KSU, and Apple to provide the equipment for our hands-on sessions. Over the past few years we have experienced a decline in equipment our partners can commit to our conference. Unfortunately, this means a reduction in the number of hands-on labs MACE can provide.

With your help, we will again offer our BYOD, "Bring Your Own Device", sessions.

In the grid look for the designation BYOD, or look for the color code which is a shade of blue, that means it is a "Bring Your Own Device" session.

MACE will not be able to provide devices for these sessions. We are asking you to bring your own device to these sessions.

Bringing a device to a BYOD session is not a requirement, you may sit in the session just as an observer. You and a friend could share a device. The choice is yours. We are asking the Presenter to do their session as if everyone is sitting in front of a device.

To see a list of websites and/or software needed for any session on the grid just go to the Grid page and use the Search options.

If your district or organization has equipment available please visit with us at the conference. MACE offers free registrations to equipment providers. The number of free registrations is based on equipment type and numbers. Free registrations must be approved by the Conference Chairs.

Internet Access

The Alumni Center and KSU Student Union have wireless Internet Access.

Please read the KSU Information for Visitors & Guests to make sure your computer meets the requirements for connection to the KSU network.

The campus network actively scans for computers in violation of these policies, and if detected your computer may not be allowd to connect.

The MACE staff will not attempt to overide any security settings in place on your computer. Please visit with your IT staff to make sure your computer will operate properly with the KSU network.

An email will be sent to all conference attendees with the settings needed to make a wireless connection.

Please have your IT staff show you how to make the connection or have them set your computer up ahead of time.

The parking garage at K-State is open and MACE attendees will be able to park in the garage during our conference. The parking garage is just across the street (east) from the Alumni Center.

MACE will offer free parking at 200 spaces in the K-State parking garage.

The garage will be open to MACE participants from 7:00 am to 6:30 pm on Thursday, and 7:00 am to Noon on Friday.

You will need the MACE parking pass to show to K-State staff as you enter and exit the garage. Information about the MACE parking pass will be sent to you in an email before the conference.
