Interactive Media

Student(s) will demonstrate an interactive media presentation which he/she has created that utilizes more than one form of media.

This may be, but not limited to:

  • PowerPoint
  • Keynote
  • Flash
  • Prezi
  • Photography
  • Video Editing
  • Animation
  • Coding
  • App Design

The time for student(s) to present the project is limited to 7 minutes.

Maximum Number of Entries: 24 in Middle School; 24 in High School.

Graphic Design


Student(s) will produce a computer generated graphical design theme that highlights an organization, group, or team within their school. 

Students must utilize their design skills to create the following items:

  • Banner – 3ft tall x 5ft wide
  • T-Shirt (Front) – 14in tall x 12.5in wide
  • Flyer/Poster – 8.5in wide x 11in tall
  • Raffle Ticket (Any type of raffle) - 3.5in wide x 2 in tall

Items do not have to be printed - only digital files are required to show during presentation.


The time for student(s) to present the project is limited to 7 minutes.

Maximum Number of Entries: 24 in Middle School; 24 in High School.

Video Production - News Story

Student(s) will present an original video production that either

  • shares a story or current event within their school, community, or global connections
    OR
  • shares a documentary of DIY production of learning

Videos can be, but are not limited to:

  • News Broadcast
  • Feature Story
  • Interviews


Students may present the video in any format, as long as the media is playable from student provided laptop - no VHS or DVD player will be available.

Video Presentations are limited to 5 minutes for the video with a 2 minute introduction.
Total presentation time is limited to 7 minutes.

Video Production - Informative/Public Service Announcement

A Public Service Announcement, or PSA, is a non-commercial ad with a goal to change people’s attitudes about a particular social issue.

Student(s) will present an original video production that informs the audience on...

Topic for 2022: Unmutted: To Be Able To Be Heard 

Students should create a video that is informative about their lives that fits the topic.

Students may present the video in any format, as long as the media is playable from student provided laptop - no VHS or DVD player will be available.

Video PSAs are limited to 3 minutes for the video with a 2 minute introduction.

Maximum Number of Entries: 24 in Middle School; 24 in High School.

Website Design

Students will compete and present an original website in an open category for school web pages, teacher web pages, community web pages, etc.

Web pages MUST BE student created and managed. You may not present someone else's work.

Presentation is limited to 7 minutes.

Maximum Number of Entries: 24 in Middle School; 24 in High School.
